Some users report that their notebook will occasionally refuse to enter standby mode or will not wake up correctly from it.

Check Sony’s support website to see if there are any driver updates for your computer. Outdated graphics drivers often cause sleep issues.

As a last resort, reset control panel to default settings.

Many people have had a problem with the Bluetooth connectivity after updating their laptop.

When the computer updates, it automatically sets to “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.” To turn this off go to the device manger under Universal Serial Bus Controller. Right-click on the Generic USB Hub and select the Power Management tab. Uncheck “allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.” This should fix the problem. The problem may just be that the Bluetooth driver is not working properly. Here is how you can test it. Go to Windows + C to get to the charms bar. Then go to settings and click on PC info. After that, click on Device Manager and look at the Bluetooth symbol. If there is some sort of exclamation point or foreign symbol, then this is probably the issue. The best thing to do after this is to download the driver again and re-install. If you need help, check on this link if help is needed.

If experiencing screen brightness adjustment issues the first place to look is in the control center. To do this go to Image Quality - Display Brightness - Turn off auto adjustment. If this fails to work try the Intel HD Graphics properties. To do this access the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel. After accessing the Control Panel, then go to power and set the power saving technology to OFF.
