There is a thin, soft foam layer on the backside of the factory screen assembly, right behind the LCD backlight. This insulation foam is missing from most replacement screens. It can be peeled off relatively easily, but it will not stick easily onto the replacement LCD. I am not sure whether it is required at all, does anybody have experience and recommendations concerning this?
