When I try to connect the bot to the Boxer Bot App, my bot doesn’t sync with the application.
Before attempting to connect Boxer to application, make sure he is fully charged (Charge for 1 Hour). Low charge may affect function. Use included USB cord for charging. If red lights are a solid red line, that is confirmation that Boxer is fully charged.
On your device, check the settings to turn on Bluetooth function. Also set your phone to max volume so Boxer can hear it. If the Boxer Bot is still unresponsive to the application, turn your bot on and off and try connecting in a different location.
Make sure your Boxer Bot is set to ‘App Mode’ so that it responds to the application. To connect the robot to the app, hold down the Boxer’s bottom button for two seconds, and repeat if necessary, until Boxer is connected.
When Boxer moves over game cards, it doesn’t perform the indicated action.
When you send Boxer over the activity cards, ensure the bot is lined up to move straight over the activity card. The IR sensors need to read all of the lines on the card in order to perform the activity.
If robot fails to perform action, line it up directly in front of card and try sending bot over cards again.
If the bot is correctly lined up, and still doesn’t perform action, there may be faults with the robot’s IR sensors that read the cards.
I am using the remote and telling Boxer to move, but it doesn’t respond.
There are three separate channels for your bot to communicate through. In order to use the remote, Boxer must be in Remote Control Mode. Ensure the bot is in the correct mode.
The joysticks are not permanently attached to the inner slots of the remote control, therefore can be removed from their position on the controller. Make sure the joysticks are fully inserted by pressing down on the joysticks.
If no response, replace joysticks.
The top buttons on the remote can make your Boxer robot complete some unique functions. The buttons are connected mechanically to the main circuit board inside the controller. If your joysticks function properly, but there is no response from the robot after clicking the top buttons, you will need to open up the remote and inspect the connection between the outer button and inner circuit board.
While the bot itself runs on charge, the remote requires batteries. If controller is not responding, replace batteries.
When I plug in my Boxer Bot to charge, the red light doesn’t blink.
The red light on the Boxer Bot shows the user how much charge the robot has. The light blinks when charging and appears as a solid red line when the robot is fully charged. If your red light doesn’t blink, make sure that your Boxer Bot is turned off; it will not charge if the robot is still on.
If the red light still doesn’t blink when plugged in, try using a different USB cord and make sure the cord is plugged into the wall and into the robot properly.
Tip: If USB charging cord that comes with Boxer Robot does not produce a charge, look at purchasing a replacement.
My bot isn’t moving at all!
Inspect your robot by following this troubleshooting page. If there is still no response, please read the following for possible causes:
Sometimes you just need to try the simplest fix; turning the robot off for 20 seconds and back on again. This reset will reconnect the robot to your application and remote control, and the robot should move.
If your robot won’t drive, gently turn the wheels by hand, checking for objects stuck in the treds or strings in the axles. Also check the small wheel in the back and its turntable mount.
