Step 1

              Open the Device               
  • Remove the six silver 11.4 mm Phillips #0 screws that hold the device shell in place.
  • Pry open the shell using the plastic opening tools if necessary. To do this, locate the groves running along the side of the entire device and wedge it open.

Step 2

              Remove the Infrared Lights               
  • Find the infrared light assemblies, which are located at the front end of the device on either side of the lens.
  • The process is the same regardless of which light you are replacing.
  • Lift the light assembly away from the rest of the device.

              Open the Light Assembly               
  • Use the plastic opening tools to pry open the light assembly.

              Disconnect the Lights               
  • Use the soldering iron and desoldering braid to de-solder the wires from the lights.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
