There is no response when the power is switched on.

Replace the batteries and try again.

Check that the batteries are making a solid connection with each terminal, and that the terminals are not rusted or corroded. Disassemble the device, and check the wiring from the batteries to the circuit board for loose connections.

Remove the batteries, and disassemble the device as much as possible. Use a soft rag or paper towel to absorb any visible moisture. Next, use a vacuum to extract as much additional moisture as possible. Let the device set open on an absorbent towel overnight. It may be helpful to place the device in front of a dehumidifier or in a bowl of rice, but be sure to remove all of the rice before reassembling.

All of the features work as they are supposed to, but everything is blurry when I look through the goggles.

Adjust the focus of the camera by turning the black roller at the front of the device. Try rolling it to the left and to the right until the image is clear. You can also adjust the focus of the screen by turning the black roller at the back of the device.

If the pictures and video that you take with the device seems foggy, the problem is more than likely due to a dirty lens. Taking a soft lens cleaning cloth to wipe down the lens should free the glass from any smudges or particles. Be careful not to scratch the lens, as this would result in needing to replace it (See below).

Alternatively, you may also choose to spray a microfiber cloth with lens cleaner. wipe the lens down and this should get rid of the foggy look.

If the lens is scratched, unfortunately the lens is going to need to be replaced. Before attempting a replacement, try cleaning the lens (see above) to rid the lens of any dust particles that may resemble a scratch on the lens. If you are sure that the lens is scratched, see this guide for steps on how to replace the lens.

After several minutes of use, the display screen suddenly goes dark, but it still beeps when I toggle through the settings.

One cause of this could be that the screen is working, but the night vision is off. If the device is being used in a dark setting, make sure that the night vision is turned on to increase visibility. This can be turned on by flipping the switch at the top of the device with a picture of a sun/moon next to it.

Disassemble the device, and check the wiring from the display screen to the circuit board. If all connections are secure, the display screen may need to be replaced. Please see the Camera & Display Screen Assembly Replacement Guide for instructions on replacing the display screen.

There is no audio when playing back recorded videos.

This device does not have a built in speaker for video playback, so there will be no audio when watching videos on the device. To hear the audio, you will have to use a computer to play back the videos.

If there is still no audio when videos are played back on a computer, there is most likely a problem with the microphone. Disassemble the device, and check the wiring from the microphone to the circuit board for any loose connections. If all connections are secure, the microphone may need to be replaced. Please see the Microphone Replacement Guide for instructions on replacing the microphone.

The device displays the ’no memory card’ symbol while trying to take photos or record videos, and shows ‘NO FILES FOUND’ while trying to play back photos and videos even when the MicroSD card is inserted.

First try turning off the device and taking the card out. Make sure that there is no dust or debris either on the card or in the MicroSD slot. Insert it back into the proper slot, making sure to push it in until it clicks. Turn on the device again and navigate to the playback window.

Try using the microSD card with a computer or another device, or try using a different microSD card with the device. If the microSD card does not work with a computer either, or if the device works with a different microSD card, the original microSD card may be faulty.

If the microSD card works with a computer or another device, it is most likely a problem with the microSD card reader. Disassemble the device, and check the wiring from the microSD card reader to the circuit board. If all connections are secure, the microSD card reader may need to be replaced. Please see the MicroSD Card Reader Replacement Guide for instructions on replacing the microSD card reader.

The device works in the daylight, but not at in the dark.

Try switching the mode to either long or short range, since there is a separate set of infrared lights for each mode. If one of the modes works, you can determine which set of lights is working by covering one of them at a time. Disassemble the device, and check the wiring from the infrared lights to the circuit board. If all connections are secure, the infrared lights may need to be replaced. Please see the Infrared Lights Replacement Guide for instructions on replacing the infrared lights.
