  • Always make sure your device is completely powered off before performing repairs.
  • Remove the two 4 mm Phillips head screws at the top of the device.

  • Carefully remove the back cover by using a plastic opening tool, moving all the way around the perimeter of the tablet.
  • Set the back cover aside.
  • The speakers are attached to the inside back cover, and are connected by wires to the motherboard of the tablet. Be careful not to rip these free when removing the back.

  • Pull the black tape away so that the rear-facing camera is no longer attached to the device.

  • Pull off the plastic camera cover with the tweezers so that the front-facing camera can move freely.

Step 5

  • Locate the small ZIF connector that connects to the cameras.
  • Use the plastic prying tool to pull up the black tab, so that the filament is released. Carefully pull the filament out so it is moving freely.
  • The camera can now be lifted from the device.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
