What you need

Step 1

              Battery               
  • Turn the laptop off and remove all sources of power.
  • Flip the laptop over so that way the bottom is facing towards you.
  • Remove the two 6.6mm Phillips #0 screws from the battery.

  • Pull the battery out of the laptop.

              RAM               
  • Flex the metal retaining clips on the side of the RAM away from one another.
  • If done correctly, the RAM will pop out of its lock.

  • Pull the RAM out of the socket to remove.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

So the complete bottom panel doesn’t need to be removed to access the memory? The bottom panel that is held in place by another 8 screws?
