Symptoms of this are device is experiencing device overheating, making excessive/loud noises, or sudden power-off without notification

If the device feels hot to the touch it may be overheating. Check to see that the device’s cooling fan is working properly and determine if it needs replacement. If upon inspection, the cooling fan is covered in dust, you may need to clean off this dust using a can of compressed air. Here is how to reveal the device’s cooling fan and remove the dust. When the device has been running powerful software or has just been running without a fan cleaning for too long, it can experience overheating, excessive whirring noise, slow function, and shortened device life.

If the device experiences the above symptoms and dust is not the problem, the cooling fan itself may be damaged (melted, broken, or expired) and require replacement. Follow this guide for a step-by-step on how to replace the cooling fan.
