What you need

Step 1

              Battery               
  • Place the notebook on the table, with the battery facing away from you.
  • Slide the switch from “lock” to “unlock” with your right hand on the right side of the computer.
  • Maintain holding the right switch in the “unlock” position.
  • Use your left hand to slide the left switch from “lock” to “unlock”.

  • Maintain both left and right switches in the “unlock” position.
  • Use your forefingers to push the battery out of the computer.

              RAM               
  • Locate the DDR panel and unscrew the two 3.65mm Phillips #1 screws holding it in place.
  • Use the spudger to lift the DDR panel off.

Step 4

  • Push in the tabs on the sides that contain the RAM.
  • Gently raise the RAM up to a 45 degree angle and gently pull the RAM towards you.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
