The drivers CD is a CD or DVD included with OEM computers that contain the necessary device drivers for the hardware components included with your computer. This CD can be used after erasing your computer and starting over to install each of the hardware devices not automatically detected by Windows. In the picture below, is an example of a Dell drivers and utilities CD. When this disc is inserted into the computer, you can select the devices you want to install.

If you’ve lost your drivers CD, it is likely you can still find the drivers necessary for your computer on the Internet through the manufacturers website. For example, with Dell computers you can enter your service tag into the Dell support website to find the exact drivers for your computer.

If you would like to be sent a new drivers CD, we suggest contacting the computer manufacturer for a replacement. Computer Hope does not have any drivers CDs it can send to its visitors. If your computer manufacturer is out of business, you might find replacement driver CDs on online auction sites or by performing a Google search for replacements.
