The rate at which a video frame is displayed or projected; usually measured in frames per second (fps). For example, films are often displayed at a frame rate of 24 fps, whereas analogue and digital video is displayed at approximately 25, 30, or 60 fps, depending on the format. With the aid of dedicated graphics hardware, modern computer games can display frame rates upwards of 120 fps.
