  1. An electronic kiosk is a computerized or simple help hub in airports, malls, or other large areas that provide visitors with free information, such as directions or commercial service. A good example of a commercial kiosk is one that vends movie tickets.

  2. Usually used to sell small, easy to transport goods like magazines, gadgets, sunglasses, etcetera, a kiosk may also be a small booth with a window on one side. A good example are the carts you see in shopping malls.
