Alternatively called file path and full path, the absolute path contains the root directory and all other subdirectories where a file or folder is contained. For example, https://www.computerhope.com/jargon/a/absopath.htm is the absolute path of the URL to this web page.
On the Linux server hosting the file its full path may be something similar to /home/hope/public_html/.
If this file was on a Windows computer, it’s full path may be something similar to c:\ch\jargon\a\absopath.htm.
