ASR may refer to any of the following:
- Short for automated system recovery, ASR is a feature first found in Microsoft Windows XP that helps backup your system. To start the ASR, open the Windows backup utility by following the steps below.
- Click Start and then Accessories.
- Click System Tools.
- Click Backup.
- In the Backup utility, click the option to show Advanced Mode.
- Click the Automated System Recovery Wizard button.
When running the Wizard, you need to insert a floppy diskette into the computer to back up the recovery files.
