The terms Careware and charityware refer to software that is associated with benefiting a charity in some way. There are some that are free where the software creator encourages its users to donate a payment to a charity or good cause. Others work under a model where some proceeds from the program’s purchase go to charity. Yet another model also gives the software for free under the banner of encouraging people to be kind to one another.
